Warsi Replaced By Shapps

Following David Cameron’s cabinet reshuffle yesterday, many observers, heartened by the replacement of outgoing Muslim peer Baroness Warsi as co-chairman of the Conservative Party, will be unaware that the cabinet changes may have served to strengthen the influence over government of another minority group.

When Sayeeda Warsi was appointed co-Chairman of the Conservative Party in 2010, this controversial decision by David Cameron distracted attention away from the other co-Chairman, the rather less obvious ‘minority group representative’, Andrew Feldman.

Andrew Feldman, was reported by Simon Rocker[1] in the Jewish Chronicle website jc.com of May 13, 2010, as a “key player in David Cameron’s rise to power”.

Rocker goes on, “Mr Feldman’s political influence did not become apparent until he emerged as part of the inner circle that persuaded David Cameron to stand as an outsider for the Conservative leadership against better-known candidates.  He was joined as a financial backer of the Cameron bid by another Westminster [synagogue] congregant, Michael Green, former head of Carlton TV, where David Cameron worked for several years.”

In the same article, Rabbi Shaul Rosenblatt, founder of the Orthodox educational organisation Tikun, is reported to have said of Mr Feldman, that he “uniquely combines high intelligence and independent thinking with great warmth and personality.  He’s modest, down to earth and does what he does because of a genuine desire to serve, not for the sake of honour or position.  He’s a very committed Jew, and while his affiliation is with the Reform movement, he is sympathetic to all areas of Judaism.  But, as an intellectual, he is interested in a Judaism that makes sense to him.  He’s exactly the type of person whose input would contribute greatly at the highest levels of government.”

Andrew Feldman continues as co-Chairman of the Conservative Party and as Chairman of the Board of the Conservative Party, and following the reshuffle is now joined by newly appointed co-Chairman, by Baroness Warsi’s replacement, the MP Grant Shapps.

Shapps has been taken on in an apparent attempt to re-invigorate flagging Conservative Party membership, which has slipped down by 81,000, from 258,000 in 2005, to the current level of just 177,000 members.

Grant Shapps is described in Wikipedia[2] as having been “born to a British Jewish family”, and in another article on jc.com yesterday [3], his appointment was announced to the Jewish community; “Former Housing Minister and onetime BBYO [B’nai B’rith Youth Organisation] leader Grant Shapps has been named as the new Conservative Party co-chairman.”

The article continues, “His appointment comes despite media speculation about a family business selling software that allegedly helps web advertisers to circumvent Google regulations.”

Many readers will, I am sure, be surprised to learn that members of minority religious/ethnic ‘communities’ hold positions of such great influence within the Conservative Party.

  1. There was a time when I’d have said so what, but the more you investigate, the more you realise these people are working together.

  2. Yes for all the hypocritical rubbish spouted by our ruling elites about diversity, equality & multi-culti there is very little evidence of it amongst them, while they force feed us on it.
