Following the first round of the Conservative leadership election, in which Boris Johnson received more votes than the next three most popular candidates put together, Tory leadership hopefuls have refused to step down from the contest so that Boris can be anointed leader, and instead insist on continuing with the protracted process of choosing a new Tory leader, despite it being obvious they have no real prospect of beating Boris and despite it being obvious that the national interest demands that a new leader should emerge to break the impasse over Brexit, without delay.
Despite the urgency, the political pygmies delude themselves that they have relevance to the British public and insist on having their fifteen minutes of fame without a thought to the damage that uncertainty is inflicting upon our people in general and the business community in particular.
Tonight, we were treated to a ‘debate’ on Channel 4 in which the also ran’s denigrated the most popular Conservative candidate and postured and pretended that they have something new and relevant to say, so important that it outweighs the need for a resolute British leader to sit down at the negotiating table with his European counterparts as soon as possible. Of course they don’t!
Boris Johnson declined to take part in the Channel 4 programme for obvious reasons. Clearly as the front runner he is the man to beat and had he appeared on TV with them tonight, he would have been their target, they would have all known that their only chance of winning the leadership of the Conservative party would have been to tarnish Boris Johnson’s reputation and it would have been five against one. Boris Johnson is wise enough to know that mud sticks and that his cause was best served by waiting until after the next round of the election process before exposing himself to the venom of his political rivals, once their numbers have been reduced.
The nation waits. It waits upon the outcome of the current Conservative leadership election, but it also waits upon a resolution of the Brexit impasse and despite Boris Johnson being the most popular Conservative leadership candidate, there is no guarantee that he will be strong enough to produce an outcome that will be in the national interest, and there is no guarantee that should he become Tory leader and should he manage to navigate past all of the obstacles to Brexit, that he will have what it takes to lead this country and our people to a more prosperous future.
Should the new Conservative leader not lead us out of the EU in the way promised before 31st October, Nigel Farage, the leader of the new Brexit Party, has promised that his party will contest the next general election, an action that could result in the Labour Party winning and in the UK being mired within the EU for a long time to come.
The national interest requires the Brexit party to be a credible political force so that should a general election come sooner rather than later, that party can win rather than simply queer the pitch for the Tories. The nation therefore awaits the emergence of a manifesto and a full raft of policies from the Brexit Party and an intense campaign to publicise the same, so that the public are ready to elect them and are not left wondering what else they stand for apart from Brexit.
Brexit will return to our people our independence and our right of self-determination, and we await a time when government will be mindful of the interests of our people that extend beyond the merely economic. We need a government that will return primacy of place to the indigenous British within our ancestral homeland.
Brexit will mean very little if the invasion of our islands continues and our people continue to be displaced and race replaced and we await some kind of pronouncement regarding this issue on the part of the new leader of the Conservative Party and the leader of the new Brexit Party.

Max, I agree with all of the above and especially appreciate the last two paragraphs. But is there a government in waiting which will do what we all want? If you watched the debate on BBC tonight you will have witnessed the revolting spectacle of all our prospective Prime Ministers fall over themselves to fawn over a Muslim Imam, gush about their own multi-cultural backgrounds, promise to welcome people “from all over the world”, and undertake to root out “Islamophobia” from the (misnamed) Conservative Party.
As for the Brexit Party, at the moment it has no policies other than what it says on the tin. Is there any reason to suppose that a Party which has at least one former member of the Revolutionary Communist Party among its MEPs will be any better than the Tories?

It has been confirmed that Boris Johnson will be contesting the Conservative Party leadership with Jeremy Hunt, and now the party membership will decide who becomes leader and Prime Minister.Boris Johnson is certainly more charismatic and flamboyant but it remains to be seen whether his negotiating skills will allow a meaningful departure from the EU. Mr Hunt appears to be more measured and conventional in his general approach and is familiar with the world of business, but he may prefer a less demanding departure.
Should an impasse be reached and a general election called, Labour would expect to benefit from the Conservative Party’s current woes, but the Brexit Party may alter the equation to Labour’s detriment.
It is regrettable that a genuine well organised nationalist party isn’t available to take advantage of the current situation.

It is doubtful it is a coincidence that as Boris Johnson is now only one of two candidates left and a firm favourite to become party leader and Prime Minister, the smear campaigns appear to be accelerating against him; Apparently the police were called to attend a domestic row between Mr Johnson and his partner: this is obviously intended to present him as somebody unfit to be Prime Minister. Mr Johnson is more likely to deliver a more meaningful departure from the EU and vested interests are aware and fearful of this contingency.
Mr Johnson is hardly a champion of nationalism or even fulfills the anti-liberal left response of Donald Trump, but he retains a certain awareness of how adversely certain outcomes have been and has made comments which the progressives have found unpalatable.
Like his predecessor, Enoch Powell, Mr Johnson is aware of the many metaphors appertaining to the Classical World, and how best to describe the enveloping madness here in the UK and Western Europe in general.
Let us hope that the Conservative Party membership endorse his leadership bid. Viva Johnson!

I would not want my last article to be regarded in any way as an endorsement of Boris Johnson. The purpose of the article was to point out that while the bests interests of our nation would be served by the conservatives electing as soon as possible a leader willing to extract us from our nation’s current state of Brexit limbo, the Conservatives are happy to engross themselves in a protracted, predictable and rather dull leadership contest despite everyone knowing who the eventual winner will be. Talk about fiddling while Rome burns!

Picking up on the scenario you describe, Max, that “could result in Labour winning the next General Election” perhaps you are not aware that US secretary of state Pompeo assures British Jews that the US will make sure Jeremy Corbyn does not ever become Prime Minister.
This blatant interference in British politics could not be more clear. Already the US regards the UK as an American colony to be pushed around, as Trump indicated to May earlier this month that in the event of Brexit that our NHS will “be on the table”.
