The ‘Gelding’ of a Lion?

By Max Musson:

Shortly after being sentenced to 18 months imprisonment today, at St. Albans Crown Court, thirty-one year old Stephen Yaxley Lennon, otherwise known as Tommy Robinson, the former leader and co-founder of the English Defence League (EDL) is reported to have Tweeted to his followers, “This is a complete stitch up”.

Robinson 3bRobinson, who last October shocked EDL supporters by resigning from the organisation amid concerns over the “dangers of far-right extremism”, had appeared in court one month later, pleading guilty to two charges of mortgage fraud, and it was in connection with these charges that Robinson was sentenced today.

Following his surprise exit from the EDL, Robinson announced that he had started working with the Quilliam Foundation, an anti-extremism think-tank and pledged to help tackle racism in Britain, and prior to his sentencing had been due to embark on a tour of schools, lecturing pupils on tolerance. Clearly therefore despite pleading guilty to the charges of mortgage fraud in November last year, Robinson did not expect to receive a custodial sentence and his use of the phrase ‘stitch up’, would suggest that he feels he has been ‘duped’ in some way, in expecting something less.

Robinson 2Right up until October of last year, Tommy Robinson had appeared totally committed to the EDL, the organization that he dominated, and their campaign against the Islamisation of Britain. Robinson defied all attempts by the authorities to curtail the powerful street presence of the EDL, he was seen holding his own, and sometimes getting the upper hand in televised interviews with media pundits, the man was a veritable lion while at the head of the EDL and this is why his sudden resignation and complete transformation from fearless and fanatical ‘far-right’, anti-Islamist campaigner to sober advocate of moderation and religious tolerance did not make sense. The claimed transformation was too sudden and too great to be credible to either his EDL followers or to the public, who watched on bewildered.

Many have speculated that Robinson must have been ‘nobbled’ by the state during his earlier period in jail for using someone else’s passport, and the timing of the prosecutions for mortgage fraud in November 2013 would certainly suggest that Robinson would have been aware of the impending prosecutions some considerable time prior to his dramatic and unexpected resignation from the EDL.

When one considers also that Robinson did not appear to expect a custodial sentence and then issued Tweets that he had been ‘stitched up’ shortly after sentencing yesterday, the course of events, and the timing of them, has left everyone wondering whether these mortgage fraud charges were the mechanism through which Robinson was nobbled?

Was he blackmailed by the establishment into resigning from the EDL, with threats of a much longer sentence if he did not do as instructed? Robinson has claimed that the shunning of him by other parents as he collected his children from school was a significant factor in his Damascene conversion to religious tolerance, think therefore how much more coercive the threat of a five year stretch might have been in the mind of this father of young children?

Was he instructed to resign and led to believe that in agreeing to work with the Quilliam Foundation, and in agreeing to campaign for ‘tolerance’ he would avoid a custodial sentence altogether?

Furthermore, was his eventual custodial sentence today, the final ‘coup de grace’ and betrayal of Robinson’s naïve trust in a venal political establishment who feel they have now got everything they ever wanted from him, have neutralised the threat he and the EDL once posed, and have finally strung him up and hung him out to dry?

Perhaps the answers to these questions will become apparent in about eighteen months time, but whatever the truth, Tommy Robinson and the EDL have indeed been effectively neutralised as a political force by recent events and it is perhaps time for new, more determined and worldly wise leaders to pick up and hold aloft the torch once more.

  1. There are certain parallels between Yaxley/Robinson and Alby Walker the BNP candidate in Stoke. Alby Walker had a very similar, sudden, reversal.

  2. Questions, questions! Indeed we must wait to see. Robinson and the EDL are quite finished as the vehicle that carried the anger of the unrepresented white working classes, who know full well the reality of life in Muslim Britain, that life beyond the pages of The Guardian and BBC and CH4 programmes about the successes of multiculturalism.
Robinson was quite a force in his own right. Though raised up to be struck down it appears. The Tommy Robinson who dived into a crowd of interlopers protestin at Wooten Basset was, I think, an honest, though naive young patriot, who would later come to be seduced and perverted by much more wily agencies.
But what of all that anger and seething rage that Robinson was the lightning rod for? Which vessel will contain that potentially, society transforming power, if any?

  3. We shouldn’t have to wait eighteen months for an answer to these questions. He will be out sometime this year. He’ll serve just nine months and, if he gets released on ‘the tag’, it could even be considerably less.

  4. Tommy Robinson was a very naive person. I’m sorry, let’s not forget that his organization supported Zionism for God’s sake! Bad move.

Yes, opposing Islam is a worthy goal. You don’t, however, ally yourself with forces that seek to eradicate all borders, races and identities in the process: Zio-globalism. Or, to be more specific, the hyper-capitalist-liberal establishment who perceive the world as a market place and, in the Goyim part of it, see everyone as progressing towards becoming individualistic liberals.

Also, Robinson wasn’t very intelligent. He was often on TV and he defended himself within the context of leftist shaming language. Non-whites often called him a racist and he argued that he wasn’t…. I’m sorry, that is soooo fricking stupid.

The mainstream media is a hostile environment, so you have to be sharp, prepared, aware. If someone calls you racist you don’t play their game — you say, ”anti-racist is a code for anti-White,” or, ”The word racist is a Marxist construct; I’m sorry … do you you want to use a word created through an ideology that is responsible for 100 million people…?”

In essence, in political discourse, you need to retain the moral ground so you need to ask loaded question like ”what have you got against White people preventing their genocide?”. You will get jeered at; but that doesn’t matter. You call them sick, twisted, morons — what they are.

Tommy Robinson thought the System was his friends and they weren’t. I do hope, though, he is ok in prison — only because he is a human being just like me.

    1. I personally think “Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white” is a bad line to use in a debate, all it does is set the person up, and gives the leftists ammunition to claim that, by that person’s own admittance, the white race is racist, and their defence, again by their own admission, is a racist one.

      .

I say reject the word altogether, it has crippled our countries and people for decades upon decades now, it’s time to neuter it and ignore it like the vile word it is, and I think that line is extremely ineffective when debating someone and only gives them an opportunity for attack.

      1. I see the beginnings of a fight back against the mantra “Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white”, somebody in a comment said “Anyone can be racist, so how can it be specifically anti white?”
Which is different from the usual thing that only white people can be racist, that non whites are always victims.
But of course the mantra is really against the liberal anti racism movement that is smearing whites as racist & constantly trying to guilt trip them & it is all part of an agenda for getting rid of whites in their own countries.

        1. I disagree. Using the mantra you ALWAYS resort back to White genocide. If they say, ”anybody can be racist, so anti-racist isn’t a codeword for anti-White.”

You say, ”Genocide is being committed on White people in White countries and only White countries through mass immigration and forced assimilation. What have you got against White people?”

The next answer will be you’re a racist.

You say, ”Anti-racist is a code-word for anti-White. Would you say all this to a Black person if Black countries and ONLY Black countries were subject to mass immigration and forced assimilation”

It isn’t an IQ test, it is practical tactics to get the audience to see the big picture of White genocide. You don’t even need to listen to anti-Whites — it’s OUR message that counts.

          1. The problem is that they won’t accept there is a white genocide, there are bodies in the streets if you look for them.
The trick is getting the wider white public to see this is going on.
One trick is using reversal on people like as you quote above about “if Black countries and ONLY Black countries were subject to mass immigration and forced assimilation”.
Some will just shrug that off as revenge for our Empire & other such nonsense.
I sometimes talk about imagine going to Pakistan & finding lots of Fish & chip shops mainly manned by young white men who are English but pretend to be Scottish or Welsh & that you find maybe several of these takeaways in a small area. Every town seems to have an over supply of them & one of their politicians declares fish & chips is a national dish!
You would think it strange at the very least but here it goes virtually unnoticed.
I usually don’t bother engaging with anti whites.
Our message only counts if the right people listen to it & take notice of it.

    2. Excellent post, Shaun. Our cause is doomed so long as we operate within the linguistic and psychological context of the anti-whites, supplicating to their malicious worldview.

Instead, we need leaders that are successful in promoting our frame. The enemy frame is to be undermined, subverted and defeated, not appeased.

There is a reason why the anti-whites demand that we submit to their framework: they know that we inevitably lose so long as we do. By accepting anti-white premises, anti-white conclusions must inevitably flow.

What does a leader tell his audience when he supplicates to anti-white liberalism? That our enemies have the moral high ground. And if they have the moral high ground, why should whites oppose them?

That’s insane and utterly self-defeating. As multiple decades of experience prove, any short term gains from such a policy soon come to nothing, and our folk continues its decline. Appeasement may have its place in various practical endeavors, but not when it comes to moral foundations. A winning movement can’t give that sort of thing up to its opponents.

We have a beautiful and noble cause. That’s to be embraced, not run away from.

  5. Nimble the anti-racist is a code word for anti-white is not about making yourself look good in a debate its about making points consistently over and over again until your message penetrates the mind of the masses so that when somone describes themselves as anti-racist the average man automatically thinks anti-white.

I’ve done variations of the mantra for over a year I’m at a count of 1,000 postings at the moment and few people in fact throw the talking point back that saying that must mean that white is racist. Usually the defence is how can I be anti-white if I’m white which tends to set them up nicely for the treason charge.

However if they do make the link that pro-white = pro-racist, I make the observation that racist is merely a hate word he uses to dehumanise white people. I then make the point that when ethnic groups are targetted for genocide they must first be dehumanised.

Also I have noticed a subtle change in the rhetoric used by anti-whites especially when they come up against mantra-like charges, they rarely if ever describe themselves as anti-racist anymore or saying that they are fighting against racism. Now they are just against white supremacy and hate. We are working to knock down that rhetoric as well.

  6. I have no sympathy for him whatsoever, I think he’s tried to be all things to all people & it just doesn’t work.

  7. It is widely believed that the powers that be have done this kind of thing with others. Max, you have nailed this with your insight well thought out.

  8. Good summary which I think is almost certainly spot on. Hope for his sake he didn’t fess up anyone as no one likes a grass in prison.

  9. Nice article, so good to see Nationalists being kind to each other instead of the unremitting viciousness in articles like those about that other Nationalist man who has featured a lot recently.
Who can say what is the cause of Tommy Robinson’s sudden conversion to multiculturalism? Perhaps he was blackmailed or perhaps the establishment threatened his family? Something must have happened.
Only the man himself can make the matter clear; So Tommy Robinson will you be forever silent or will you dare the devil and speak out and tell us what happened. One thinks that the unforgiving judgementalist nature of Nationalists will help keep Mr Robinson silent.
While we are on the matter, what is ‘Mortgage Fraud’ anyway? If this means applying for a mortgage one cannot afford then it seems that millions of Britons are equally guilty.

  10. You climb into bed with snakes, sooner or later you get bitten. It’s the nature of the snake and no amount of sliding around on your belly will save you.

  11. the facade must be destroyed… entertaining thoughts of co-opt is trite meandering…. mustn’t grasp at membership – far too many “leaders” wish to have the cake and eat it, too… what’s coming demands rejection of the world before you – sacrifice, gentlemen, sacrifice

  12. An 18 month sentence means he will serve nine months in prison and be released on ‘licence’ after that.He then serves a further 9 months in the community with conditions. Licence may include conditions not to get involved in ‘activities’, etc. The nine month custodial element of the sentence may itself be reduced by any time spent on remand (custody after arrest) and any time spent on curfew if the curfew was 12 hours a day or more. Each day he was curfewed counts as half a day in prison deducted.

So we may see him again in far less than 18 months, but he may have conditions which prevent him from speaking out.
