By Max Musson:
A video recording of a fascinating and very informative presentation by Dr. Nora Volkow, Director of the US National Institute on Drug Abuse, about the effects of marijuana use on the brain, body and behaviour.
Dr. Volkow’s remarks were given on Feb. 4th 2014 at the Community Anti-Drug Coalition of America’s 24th National Leadership Forum and despite the sometimes poor sound quality (you will need to have the volume turned up high) and the long introduction to her speech, this video is well worth watching.
The most shocking statistic presented by Dr. Volkow is that long-term frequent cannabis use in young people will lower their IQ by on average eight points!
Furthermore Dr. Volkow also confirms the other major issues associated with the drug, the lethargy it induces, and the strong correlation with schizophrenia and psychotic behaviour among long term, frequent users of the drug.

Thanks Max! It’s about time somebody spoke out against the drug! The traitors in governement promote drugs by allowing the Zio-media to operate in our country — the Zio-media, of course, promotes drugs because they want to destroy the people, and they lack the creativity to make inspirational programs!

Maybe the maker of the video was a habitual user of the stuff?
Meanwhile as some states have legalized the consumption of Marijuana we’ll see how that turns out as it’s strong stuff they’re selling.
Generally speaking bans don’t work, there needs to be another way.
It was said on one programme that in Scotland they spend millions & stop 1% of drugs, so what’s the point?

In Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World” Soma was used by the overseers to keep the people docile and manipulated. Perhaps marijuana is somas equivalent, and that is why our “leaders” turn a blind eye? In any case drug use is for degenerates and has no place amongst enlightened Nationalists.

I agree, Cry Havoc.
.
People can argue about the rights and wrongs of legalisation until the cows come home (personally I am against it), but the main argument for me is the one which you put forward – and which this article puts forward – that drugs are damaging to us and our people’s survival, as well as being convenient tool for those who oppose us.
.
People also often make the argument about alcohol being worse, and so on, but to argue that one destructive substance should mean the allowance of another to get a grip over our people (and our nation) is rather silly to me.
.
We are all different, we have different traits, even as nationalists of the same race. We are not all going to agree, we are not all going to have the same vigour, the same dedication, the same outlooks or experiences.
.
However, if we are in a fight for our future, I think it is the obligation of all nationalists to argue against drug use so that we can be sharp of mind, not so easily distracted, clean living, successful and prosperous.
.
The world is getting more competitive, not less. The future is not going to be as nice as we are used to today. We need to be the best we can be and work at improving our futures, not accepting of things that may be a hindrance.
.
It may be idealistic of me, but I think it is our duty to be examples of superiority – something to aspire to and live up to. I look at many in our country today, of our own race, and it shames me. The drugs, the binge drinking, the lack of vocabulary, the attitude, the idleness in the workplace (in some cases), the easily suckering in of celebrity culture and trivia.
.
Ideally, we need to be bucking these trends, making something of ourselves once again, making small sacrifices (like not partaking in too much hedonistic behaviour), refusing the poisoning of our bodies and our minds, setting ourselves apart – not just giving in to the prevailing cultures.
.
We may not individually be capable of moving mountains, but sometimes if you look after the small things, the bigger things tend to look after themselves.
.
Drug use, in the bigger picture, can destroy lives, destroy families, destroy communities, destroy nations.
.
If cannabis is addictive, destructive of IQ, making people lethargic and prone to mental instability, a “conveyor belt” to other substances and generally reducing the wider national populace from taking a stand or waking up to certain realities, then I cannot really see how it can be argued to be in our interests to allow it to become part of our lives and national culture.

I agree, my friend. Cannabis doesn’t offer the individual much reward, but it can ruin a person’s life. Drinking is ok in moderation; but in general, to be at your best, you need to consume the healthiest, most life-afirmning products possible.
It would be better if a nationlaist spent his evenings reading the great works of learned men throughout history, rather than smoking the shit. Nationalists should be men-of-action, so the weed, within our movement, shouldn’t be encouraged — but people do what they like, so these are only my thoughts….

I know at least three people who this has happened to. I experiment when i was young but fortunately i had the sense to stop using drugs, even though I only ever used so called soft “drugs” I knew others it has killed, always wishing a bigger high they move up the drugs ladder and end up “overdose victims”.
That said i do somewhat support it’s use with some chronic illnesses and the terminally ill if clinicians feel it will enhance their quality of life and pain management.

I don’t think anyone has suggested that marijuana kills people, not directly anyway. What we need to realise however, is that marijuana has an insidious cumulative effect upon long-term users: sapping their initiative; reducing their attention span; weakening their critical reasoning ability; and making them lethargic. Some might suggest that the effect of diminishing individuals in this way is comparable to that of a chemically induced frontal lobotomy and that this might be considered a fate worse than death?
