This year’s Notting Hill Carnival has ended with 279 arrests having been made.
The Notting Hill Carnival is Europe’s biggest street party, and takes place every summer. It began in the late 1950s, and for its first twenty years or so it was a fairly peaceful affair. Then things began to go downhill, and violence became a perennial feature. In 1987 the carnival had its first ever murder.
Sanity appeared to prevail in 1988 at the time of the Kensington by-election. One of the candidates was a businessman called John Martin, and he immediately pledged that if elected he would lead a campaign of public opposition to the festival. The pledge was reported in national newspapers, and all of the other candidates from the larger parties said that they agreed with him.
It turned out to be an empty pledge however. It appears that not one of the candidates seriously wanted to ban the carnival, and that instead they wanted to ensure that future carnivals were effectively policed. The Kensington by-election was won by Dudley Fishburn who was the local MP until 1997. During that time the carnival scored its second murder.
The carnival has now claimed a total of five murder victims. To this can be added large numbers of assaults and robberies, and there have also been many incidents of rape and grievous bodily harm.
It is no surprise that many residents of Notting Hill leave town while the carnival is in progress, and some even board up their windows.
The economics of the carnival are impressive. This year’s event cost an estimated £6m, but is estimated to have brought £93m into the local economy. This is a grossly misleading statistic however. If the carnival had not taken place, then that £93m would not have simply evaporated into nothingness. The money would still have been spent, but it would have been spent elsewhere.
Can any amount of money really justify this carnival of crime? The simple fact is that money is not the primary issue. The primary issue is that there remains a high level of public demand for the carnival, and a lot of that public demand comes from the Afro-Caribbean community.
You might think that people in immigrant communities would care about fighting crime just as much as anyone else, and perhaps more so given the frequency with which immigrants are the victims of crime. Nevertheless it seems that far too many immigrants care more for the glamour of the carnival than they do about public order.
Do not expect the immigrant crime-fest to come to an end any time soon.

This thing survives because the powers that be are terrified of the volatile reaction of the negroes who they have so criminally allowed to colonise our country. Nor does it help that the metropolitan liberati adore all things negroid and funky – from a safe distance.

Assuming a white carnival or event attracted similar levels of criminality, I’m sure it would be closed down without delay.

A significant portion of crime committed is ignored by the police under orders of senior officers, drug taking being one such crime. Arresting non-whites for law breaking is apparently antagonistic, so once again the law does not apply to non-whites, muslims have taken advantage of this for years, the police are useless.

I can confirm that’s correct as in drug smoking on the underground trains being ignored for fear of the service grinding to a halt when it’s at its most busy during the carnival.
