Waiting for Godot

Waiting for Godot is an absurdist play written by Irish playwright and poet Samuel Beckett and described as a ‘tragicomedy’ it incorporates both tragic and comic elements as the two main characters, Vladimir and Estragon wait in vain for the arrival of a third character, Godot, who never comes.

So, what has this got to do with us?

It is a metaphor for a condition that I recognise in many nationalists at this present time. They have perhaps been members of the British National Party (BNP) in the past but now, following the terminal decline of the BNP, they have become inactive or at least ineffective.

The BNP had approximately fourteen thousand members at its height, but now the combined total membership of all of the active nationalists groups is nowhere near that figure and while a number of ex-BNP members will have quietly slipped among the ranks of the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP), there  are several thousand who are currently either sitting on their hands and waiting or simply engaged in what psychologists call ‘displacement activity’ – and I have identified four classic groups among them – who are waiting for something that will never come.

The first of these groups, I call ‘Electioneers’ and while these people are not inactive, they are simply engaged in ‘displacement activity’.

Displacement activity is any form of activity that someone engages in which enables them to feel they are doing something, when in reality their activity achieves nothing, as the wait for something to happen. Chewing gum could be described as displacement activity, and so could tapping one’s feet as we wait in a queue, or drumming one’s fingers, and Electioneers go through the motions of standing in elections they know they cannot and will not win, simply in order to have the feeling that they are at least doing something!

Their hope is that one day the public will ‘wake up’ as if a veil has been lifted from their eyes and begin voting for them in great numbers. The Electioneers are conscious of the fact that time, after time, after time, nationalist candidates have stood in elections with a almost identical policy schedules and that each time they have failed to fire the public imagination, but they vainly cling to the hope that somewhere, some-day, some-how a nationalist will eventually discover that all elusive formula for the presentation of our ideas that will magically win the support of the dormant public.

And so they go through every conceivable permutation in search of this ‘Holy Grail’ and although they can be found on Internet forums despairing over the ‘blindness’ and the apathy of the public, and despairing that ‘time is running out’ and ‘soon it will be too late’, they cling to their forlorn hope and console themselves with the thought that ‘when that day comes’, when the public finally do wake up, ‘Oh boy’!  Everything will be different then — the boot will be on the other foot and they will show all those doubters just what we’re made of – ‘when that day comes!’

And despite their frustrations that valuable time is ticking past, they cannot be dissuaded from their chosen course of displacement activity, and if anyone points out the ineffectiveness of their actions, they get annoyed, questions the other’s motives and employ all manner of false reason to remain firmly within their ‘comfort zone’.

They don’t want to try anything new or different — they are obsessively waiting for Godot!

Then there are the people who have already recognised that every permutation in the presentation of nationalist policies has been tried and that electioneering in the current environment is a waste of time and effort. Some of these people have convinced themselves that the public are too comfortable at present and what is needed for the public to ‘wake up’ is the occurrence of some catastrophic event that causes civilisation to collapse, or the occurrence of some cataclysmic economic meltdown that will deny the public their comforts.

These people talk about that moment when the ‘shit hits the fan’ and everything changes, including the public’s response to us, and for short, I call them the ‘SHTF’ers’.

SHTF’ers don’t waste their time with electioneering, because they have convinced themselves that nothing can be done and it’s not worth doing anything until that ‘SHTF’ moment comes. They still attend meetings and buy newspapers and books and they can be found on Internet forums reaffirming their belief that an ‘SHTF’ moment is coming soon — bemoaning the late arrival of that ‘SHTF’ moment – and despairing that time is running out, but otherwise doing nothing.

They ignore the fact that during the 19^th Century, Karl Marx predicted the collapse of capitalism that would ignite a world-wide worker’s revolution, and that during the 20^th Century, first Oswald Mosley and then many others – more latterly Nick Griffin predicted the collapse of the ‘old system’, ‘Peak Oil’ and  the collapse of the New World Order under the weight of its ‘internal contradictions’, but still they wait and that elusive ‘SHTF’ moment seems as far away as ever.

The SHTF’ers are in reality in a comfort zone just as much as the Electioneers, they are ‘going through the motions’, engaged in displacement activity, and they console themselves with declarations that ‘when that day comes’, ‘Oh boy!’ The world will see what they are made off – the ‘tables will be turned’ and the ‘boot’ will be firmly ‘on the other foot’ – when that glorious ‘SHTF’ moment comes, … but until then they will do nothing. And if anyone tries to dissuade them from their inactivity, they get annoyed, questions the other’s motives and employ all manner of false reason to remain firmly within their ‘comfort zone’.

Similar to the SHTF’ers are the third group that I call the ‘Permission Slippers’, and this is a group first recognised by the leader of the Northwest Front, Harold Covington, composed primarily of people who are ex-military. They too recognise that electioneering a forlorn hope, but instead of waiting for an ‘SHTF’ moment, they envision a time when at last someone in authority within our political establishment, someone with extensive influence within the military, will eventually realise the decline in our nation has reached an unacceptable point and decide to initiate a military coup d’etat, calling upon them and all their old comrades to rise up and help install a new honest government.

As Harold Covington has identified, White men make the most courageous fighters when someone in authority has given them permission to fight, but they also often make the most docile and obedient serfs in the absence of such permission from on high, and ex-servicemen can be found exasperated that no-one within nationalism can as yet command the level of authority necessary to ‘unleash the dogs of war’, while those in authority show no inclination to give the order for servicemen to mobilise in the national interest.

Permission Slippers can be found on Internet forums despairing at the complacency of those in authority and frustrated that time is running out and it will soon be too late. They are trapped by the false premise that anyone in authority actually cares that our nation is being destroyed. As predominantly ex-servicemen, Permission Slippers have undergone years of conditioning to react obediently to those in authority and they have been misled throughout their military service into believing that the ‘top brass’ place the defence of our nation at the top of their priorities – but this is not the case.

Permission Slippers do not realise that we are currently being governed through a process of managed decline. They see our nation’s leaders making one crass decision after another and they naively assume our government and the political elite that keep them in power are simply incompetent and that the crass decisions are the result of genuine mistakes. They do not realise that the decline of our nation is a deliberate process and that everyone who is anyone within our political establishment is a party to this conspiracy.

When one takes a multiple choice exam, there is normally a choice between four alternative answers, a, b, c or d, and the objective is to choose the right one. If someone was genuinely trying to pass such an exam but had no idea which answers were correct, they could secure a 25% mark simply by ticking answer ‘a’ for every question because if the answers were assembled in random order, choice ‘a’ would be the right answer 25% of the time.

For someone to take a multiple choice exam and get every question wrong, time after time, in the way that Western establishment politicians make crass political decisions time after time, this could only be achieved if someone knew all of the right answers and deliberately chose the wrong answers.

During my lifetime, I have witnessed successive Labour and Tory governments making one stupid decision after another, particularly where national security, immigration and national self-determination are concerned and such a record could only be achieved if national decline was deliberate objective of those governments.

Over the last forty years, our armed forces have deliberately selected out anyone with any strong sense of nationhood or racial awareness and only those junior officers who have demonstrated their blind acceptance of the prevailing culture of political correctness have been promoted to high office. Anyone who has made it to a position whereby they would have the necessary personal authority to ‘give the green light’ to our nationalist ex-servicemen and ‘write them a permission slip’, will be perfectly happy with what has been going on and with the decline of our nation. Therefore no ‘permission slip’ is going to come and anyone waiting for one is ‘waiting for Godot’!

Lastly, there are the ‘Charismatic Leader Seekers’, people who believe that in order for nationalism to succeed we must first find a charismatic leader whose spell-binding oratory will galvanise our people and have them flocking to our cause.

Such people survey the current crop of nationalist leaders and bemoan their lack of charisma. They can be found on Internet forums harking back nostalgically to the days of Oswald Mosley, Colin Jordan and John Tyndall and wringing their hands in frustration that we have to such towering personalities to give nationalism direction today, and in the absence of charismatic individuals they deduce that there is no point doing anything at present because ‘without them, we are doomed to fail’.

However like Permission Slippers, Charismatic Leader Seekers labour under a false premise. They do not realise that charisma is not something that people are born with. No-one has ever observed a friend’s baby, or young child and commented on the child’s absence or presence of charisma – such a thing would be regarded as absurd.

Charisma is like lightning, it is something that manifests around a person when the conditions are right.

No-one is a natural conductor of electricity, but we all have the potential to conduct electricity and if someone were to run around on the top of a hill during a thunder storm with a steel bucket on their head, there is every possibility they would become a lightning conductor, and the same principle applies with charisma. No-one possesses charisma naturally, but we all have the potential to manifest charisma given the right circumstances.

For charisma to manifest it requires a leader who has a sense of mission; a vision of success; and certainty of belief, who has a connection with his or her audience and the ability to convey things to that audience via a display of great power, strength or influence.

If our first encounter with a rock star was on his day off, while he is on his own, in his local supermarket buying mundane groceries, he would not exude charisma, he would appear to us an ordinary man with no special properties, and this is a source of great anxiety for rock stars – the fear that they will appear ordinary if seen while they do not have the trappings of stardom.

Similarly, if we had been alive during the 1930s and during a visit to a green grocers had our first encounter with Sir Oswald Mosley while he was shopping for groceries on his own, he would not have appeared charismatic, however, if our first encounter with either the rock star or Oswald Mosley had been at a packed stadium at Wembley or Olympia, while they were performing in front of thousands of adoring fans then all of the ingredients needed for charisma to manifest would be present and once we had seen them in those circumstances in which crowd dynamics create a heightened sense of euphoria, we would forevermore associate the individual concerned with that heightened euphoria and we would always subsequently regard them as charismatic.

For the leaders of the various fragmented nationalist groups that exist today, they can do their utmost to convey their sense of mission, their vision of success and their certainty of belief, but for the time being the evident numerical and financial weakness of their organisations creates a ‘Catch 22’ situation in which they lack the trappings of power, strength and influence necessary to exude charisma, yet until they do exude charisma, they will struggle to attract the followers necessary give them an aura of power, strength and influence.

This is why the drive for nationalist unity is so important and why the leaders and members of the micro-parties that have no potential to acquire the assets needed to create displays of strength, power or influence should seek ways of co-operating and in time merging with other groups so that the many individuals within our movement with charismatic potential are given the opportunity to speak before audiences of the required size and so that charismatic leaders can emerge and attract greater numbers to our cause. Without this, those waiting for a charismatic leader to emerge spontaneously will wait in vain — they will be waiting for Godot!

So what else should we be doing?  … if electioneering is a waste of time and effort? …  if we can’t rely on that SHTF moment? … and if there will be no green light – no ‘permission slip’ from those in authority?

We should not wait, we need to prepare for whatever comes, so that no matter what the circumstances that confront us in the future, we are prepared, with the plans and the assets needed to take advantage of those circumstances.

  There is a term which often features in American disaster movies when typically  a worsening threat is developing and military leaders refer to ‘DefCon’, which is their state of readiness to meet whatever the threat is. ‘DefCon’ is an abbreviation of the term, ‘Defence Readiness Condition’ and there are five levels of readiness on the DefCon scale, from the relatively relaxed state of ‘DefCon 5’ to a state of maximum armed readiness, ‘DefCon 1’.

We nationalists wish for a nationalist revolution that will sweep us to power, and as explained above many nationalists anticipate the arrival of an event or an individual or a set of circumstances that will create a state of revolutionary potential. The crazy thing however, is that we are currently as a movement completely unprepared for such an event and should a freak election opportunity suddenly present itself, or should an SHTF event occur, or should someone in authority call for all able bodied men to mobilise in the defence of the nation, we would be powerless to take advantage of such a situation. We need as a movement to progress from our current state of unpreparedness for revolution to a state of heightened readiness.

We need to focus on our ‘Revolutionary Readiness Condition – ‘RevCon’, because at the moment we are not even at RevCon 5 and we need to get to RevCon 1 as soon as possible!

At the moment, no potential exists for nationalist candidates to win elections, but as I have already suggested, a freak situation might occur and we need to be ready with the resources needed to win.

At the moment, no SHTF event seems likely, but a freak occurrence could change that and wouldn’t it be tragic, if after waiting for two-hundred years for an SHTF event to occur, when one finally does, we are impotent and can do nothing to take advantage of that situation?

At present, no member of the establishment is likely to sound the alarm and call for a revolution of national salvation, but again should such a call be made, we need to be ready with all of the resources needed to act decisively and win.

Most military ‘top brass’ are ‘Tory boys’ and therefore we cannot rely on the leader of a future coup d’etat changing the politics of this country after such a coup. The likelihood if all we can do is sit back and watch during a coup, is that we will simply trade ‘dopey Dave Cameron’ as Prime Minister, for some other ‘dopey Dave’ with a machine gun in his hands, a love of multiracialism and a desire to participate more fervently in the New World Order!

Remember, for several decades now, our armed forces ‘top brass’ have been selected for their unquestioning acceptance of liberal values. We cannot expect them to want to radically change our political system, even if they do decide to launch a coup, and so we must be ready. We must strive to achieve RevCon 1 as soon as possible!

During the recent Ukrainian revolution, a situation was reached on the day that President Yanukovych fled the country, in which Pravy Sektor had gained control of the Ukrainian capital city and were presented with an opportunity to press home their nationalist revolution.

The Ukrainian army and the Ukrainian police had all withdrawn to their barracks and had opted to wait for the rival civil political factions to resolve the crisis. With Yanukovych’s flight from the country, it signalled that the revolutionaries had won and of the revolutionary factions, Pravy Sektor were the most powerful. It was they who had defeated the riot police and driven them back to their barracks and it was they who at that time occupied all of the seats of power.

They controlled the Maidan Square in the centre of Kiev; they controlled all of the central government and civil service buildings in the city and they controlled the Ukrainian parliament buildings and they were at that point in time unopposed. But they had never expected to be so lucky and they were totally unprepared to take advantage of that situation.

Instead of being at RevCon 1, they were at RevCon 4 or 5 and so instead of being able to act decisively and press home their nationalist revolution in Ukraine, they hesitated, they hesitated for three or four days, during which the forces of Western liberalism were able to galvanise their supporters and establish a new unelected interim government, and with the support of the police and the army, Pravy Sektor, who had been in the front line in the struggle against the Yanakovych regime and who had shed much blood in the process, were pushed aside.

Had Pravy Sektor been at RevCon 1, they would have acted decisively to neutralise the remaining liberal parliamentary deputies, declared themselves the interim government and called upon the army and the police to recognise their right to govern and we White nationalists would have had our first White nationalist republic. However it was not to be!

To be at RevCon 1, we need to have acquired the Six Prerequisites:

We need to have a network of nationalist enclaves spread across Britain to act as strongholds;

We need a body of one-thousand local activist leaders spread across the country trained and ready to lead the people in uncertain times;

We need a fifth column of sleepers that have ‘burrowed their way into the political establishment and who will be ready to ‘open doors’ for us when the moment of truth arrives;

We need a nationalist mass media to broadcast our message far and wide;

We need a disciplined body of street activists to act as Pravy Sektor acted in securing control of key buildings and key locations during a period of crisis; and

We need a ‘war chest’ of in excess of £100 million to buy the ‘influence’ we will need.

Such preparation will give us strength and provide the missing factor in our search for a charismatic leader.

Most importantly, we must be prepared to change, to leave behind the assumptions of the past and the excuses for inaction in the present. We must have the integrity to admit when our current mode of activity is ineffective and be brave enough to step out of our comfort zones and embrace the new strategies that will position us ready to act in any situation.

The acquisition of the Six Prerequisites may seem a daunting task, but we are people who are descended from forebears who conquered this continent of Europe when it was buried under a mile thick layer of ice. We are descended from the people who created a great civilisation and who took that civilisation to the four corners of the earth, and if our ancestors could achieve all of that, then we too can summon up the courage to dare to great once more!

So, put away your distractions my comrades, cast off any doubts and resolve here and now to take action! Wait no longer for the public to wake up. wait no longer for that SHTF moment, wait no longer for a ‘permission slip’ from those in authority or for the emergence of a ready made charismatic leader — wait no longer for Godot!
