Unintended Consequences

By Frederick Dixon:

As time goes on we become a steadily more liberal society, more accepting of racial and cultural diversity, more tolerant of the ever burgeoning ethnic minorities in our midst. Well, don’t we? That is certainly what I would have assumed, however reluctantly, until a few days ago when this headline caught my eye:- “Politicians blamed for hostility to migrants: Liberal ruling class is increasingly out of step with public opinion, say academics”.

The article went on:- “the persistent public anxiety over immigrant numbers is something the main political parties ignore at their peril, the government funded study warns. Significantly the study – which has been charting public opinion for more than thirty years – found signs of a rejection of a multicultural definition of Britishness. In striking contrast with a decade ago, when the survey showed rising acceptance of minorities, increasing numbers now single out factors such as being born in the UK or having British ancestry (up from 46% in 2003 to 51% in 2013) as important elements of British identity. The study warned that policymakers and the interest groups they deal with regularly tend to be drawn heavily from the liberal end of the spectrum, creating a potential for disconnect and distrust between a more liberal political class which accepts immigration and an electorate among whom many find it intensely threatening.”

Well, well – who would ever have thought that in 2014 the proportion of those who think that Britishness might have something to do with ancestry, i.e. race, would be going up rather than down? I wonder what the figure was among the White British alone? In a sense it doesn’t really matter if these figures go up or down because we are the faithful who will never waver in our loyalty to the real Britain, and we will in time create a new people from our own ranks – but it’s still nice to know that public opinion seems to be swinging our way for once!

The point about the liberal ruling class was brought home by the news that BBC is to increase the proportion of ethnic minorities visible on the screen from 10.4 % to 15%, while boosting the numbers of minority individuals at every level in the management structure of the Corporation. A “Diversity Creative Talent Fund” is to be drawn from other budgets “to help change the portrayal of ethnic minorities in programmes”. Six “Commissioners of the Future” will be trained specifically to work in comedy, drama, factual, daytime and childrens programming while twenty graduate trainee interns (minorities only need apply) will also be taken on. An “Independent Diversity Action Group” will oversee the changes and the members will include Lenny Henry (inevitably), D. Oudkerk Q.C. (human rights barrister), writer George Mpanga, black footballer Jason Roberts and a certain “Nihal” a presenter on the Asian Network.

The very existence of an “Asian Network” raises interesting questions about the likely racial balance of its workforce, and why is there not a “White British Network”? But putting such questions aside we are still entitled to ask why some posts are being ring fenced for non-whites? If we have to suffer a multiracial society should not, at the very least, all posts be open to the best talent regardless of ethnicity? Why does the perceived need to increase “diversity” trump the employment of the best qualified? Why are white people in a white country being disadvantaged in this way? The answer to these questions is that the liberal mind simply cannot understand them – the idea that white people might have legitimate reservations about being discriminated against could not, would not, occur to the liberal.

The disconnect between the liberal ruling elite and the rest of us was brought home by the enthusiastic reception for the new proposals by the culture minister Ed Vaisey, described as a “Conservative”, who said that the measures were “very much needed”. Still, at least we now know that the more our masters indulge in this sort of nonsense, the more public opinion moves towards us.

“very much needed” by them but very much rejected by us.
I guess the more they force the issue, the more resistance they will meet.

  2. A year ago, I skimmed over a a great book called The Pathological Left. The author was a rather smart New Zealander called Kerry Bolton. His anaysis of the left pertains to this brilliant article.

To a lefty, you have to have power to make up for your base feelings of inadequacy. Due to your dark feelings relating to how you size-up to your fellow man, the concept of hierarchy is your biggest enemy. If, however, everyone is equal, that means a perception of an individual based on race, class, or culture goes against fundamental laws of logic — to the ‘liberal’ anyway.

Secretly, the anti-White left want to tear society down. Ruling over their non-White pets (they are ‘racist’ bastards), the scumbag left will commit treason against their own people because, to these parasites, the only reality that matters is their own demented worldview. But look at the biggest contridiction: there are people working for ethno-specific media networks who are also working towards a diversification of the BBC. Why can’t WE have a White network? That should be the central point to contest with these dispicable animals.

Whilst highlighting the double-standards can be useful to help make our point (I do it myself), I am not always so sure that it is in our favour to play that particular game of conditioning society into that line of thinking.
      .
The game I describe is, of course, the leading of us towards being what will come “minority rights” for whites in the future – and the further reinforcement of accepting our fate as others maneuver to overtake us, or replace us.
      .
This is where we will be in the humiliating position of trying to demand our own place in our own nation, holding up our begging bowl for “equal treatment”, for funding, for our ‘right’ for representation. The idea of having to hold our hand up and say, in effect, “Sir!, Sir! They are being racist against us, Sir! We would like some rights!” is quite a repulsive one in our own homeland.
      .
On that score, I do not find this to be an acceptable course where we are just another ‘minority’ interest group competing with all the others – and being treated “fairly” or “equally” being the main demand.
      .
That may end up being the way it is, but still, it is not really acceptable. Liberals seem to think that if only we treat the others well, they will return the treatment to us when the balance tips. Of course, this is not guaranteed to be so, far from it!
      .
The question, albeit extremely unrealistic in the state of Britain today, should not necessarily be “Why can’t we have a White Network?” (or “White police association”)…..but more “Why are all these other peoples here to start with and why are we putting up with it and them agitating for their own interests ?!”. Or perhaps more impertinently, “Why are we even asking for permission, what gives these people the right to decide for us whether we can or cannot have these things?!”.
      .
I agree about the liberal-left mindset. The likes of Lenny Henry and anti-white-whites can regularly be heard on the tv and radio bemoaning a lack of ethnic minorities, a lack of women, a lack of homosexuals, or whatever, in this sector, that sector, in football management, boardrooms, program directors, comedy, etc.
      .
However, as are the double standards we know, they seem to have the right to hold a “collective interest” due to their race and ethnicity where we do not. At the BBC, for example, it is not acceptable to think that replacing white staff for ethnic minority staff is an action against the interests of whites.
      .
Further, as with women, homosexuals, or whatever, these liberals are saying we are all the same yet implying that they have some sort of “hive mind” that brings something ‘new’ to the table.
      .
Like with calls for ethnic minority role-models in TV and Sports management, or even teachers, it is also implying that black kids can only look up to (and be inspired by) black managers, black teachers, or implying that there should be more black/minority police officers to stave off ‘discrimination’ and ‘prejudice’ when dealing with their own ‘minority’ groups.
      .
If this is the case of how things need to be in order to pacify or “include” others, it is, to me, an admission of the failure of multiracialism.

The only connection that many in this photo might have might have is with the old British Empire. I remember very well having been born in 1936. This British connection is worn out now, and their parents most probably born post their Countries independence from our defunct Empire. Having achieved Independence, and after we left as requested, its very odd that so many wanted to come here.

English they can never be, however much they might like to think it so.

What an awful legacy these bigoted Internationalists have left us, may they rot where ever they are.

It’s noticeable how the mass-media are trying to condition people into accepting that being English might be an ethnic definition just as being Scottish, Welsh or Irish might be, whilst being British is simply anyone who was born in this country or has a British passport. Divide and rule!

I probably should not comment on my own article, but re-reading it a moment ago I was struck by a thought – the underperformance of poor white children compared with ethnic minority children has also been in the news lately. Researching for an article a few months ago I found that in 1999 ethnic minority children UNDERPERFORMED whites at every socio-economic level. What has changed? The government has thrown vast resources at inner city education in those places where ethnic minorities are over represented, but I wonder if the constant preferment of ethnic minorities in employment (as at the BBC) might not induce in some white children a feeling of pointlessness and worthlessness?

    1. I’m sure it does Frederick, and I would suggest that the virtual epidemic of low self-esteem that has blighted White youngsters is directly the result of such a double standard in education.

    2. Unfortunetly, working-class White children do not have any role models within the mainstream media. Everything targeted towards them is designed to debase, degrade, and destroy. Juxtapose this with the mainstream media’s representation of non-Whites: it is all about their ‘triumphs’ against (White) society, their brilliance on the sports field, and their status as the coolest races on earth….

This must have an effect, right? Also, it is also working-class White children who are underperforming — it may be that that class of our people have, on average, lower IQs…. Neverthless, if that’s true — some of working class of our race struggle at school — I still don’t look at them as anything other than what they are: members of our race. Smart or stupid, we have to reach, educate and activate them all…

  6. Note the picture was taken outside a fictitious London Underground station, which neatly shows what a fiction this ridiculous pandering to “Minorities” is in London, where the minority is white!

  7. If it was wrong for Britain to colonise Third World countries, why is it also not wrong for Third World peoples to colonise Britain? The colonial countries achieved independence by kicking out the White man, but bizarrely this did not prevent their inhabitants from flooding Britain, as Brin points out. Even more bizarre is the situation BritishActivism points out, that we in Britain are whining from the colonisers rights for Whites! As if the colonisers are interested in equal rights! As the likes of Lenny Henry show they can never get enough ‘equality’ for themselves; they aren’t interested in equality as an abstract principle. As ‘equality’ is now enshrouded in law for the ethnic minorities can you imagine the situation for the Whites remaining in Britain when the ethnics are no longer a minority and don’t have to bother, as they are wont to do, about the rule of law?

    1. They can’t see that one day we may call for independence from our colonial masters.
I guess the difference is that we were never a majority in those countries which is why we got kicked out but the plan appears to be to make us a minority in our own country like what happened to the Maoris or Aborigines or the US Indians so that demographics mean we lose control of the country.
Though to be honest we already have, our concerns are ignored or opposed.

We can still continue the struggles, throw a few spanners in the local Council works and consider joining a Common Law club like I have.
