Many little rivulets join to form a stream and many streams join together in a river which, when it floods, will sweep away all in its path.
Many of us laboured for many years for the BNP or the NF or other nationalist organisations, leafleting, canvassing, trudging along to ill attended meetings in the back rooms of bleak pubs, willingly paying contributions which sometimes we could little afford. All it seemed for nothing as nationalist movement after nationalist movement foundered through personal differences, lack of funds or organised disruption.
Yet it was not all in vain. While it is true that no nationalist party is anywhere yet in power, we can now see that everything is beginning to move in our direction. Power structures topple as the people find that democracy can work when there are leaders who refuse to be corralled by a left/centre power elite.
Which will be the next domino to topple after the United States? Some say it will be Italy where the Prime Minister, an EU apparatchik called Matteo Renzi, is threatened by the Five Star movement and the Northern Alliance, both of which cite the inspiration of Trump. Some say it will be France with the inexorable rise of Marine Le Pen. Much of eastern Europe is already in revolt against the left/centrist EU establishment.
In the United States, Trump repeatedly cited Brexit as his inspiration. Trump supporters when interviewed after the vote also said that not only were they well aware of Brexit but that it was an example to them. It may well be that without the example and inspiration of Brexit (or the Merciful Deliverance as it might be better called) there would have been no victory for Trump.
And where did the Merciful Deliverance come from? There was the charismatic personality of Nigel Farage forcing the reluctant Prime Minister at the time (whose name I forget) to promise a referendum. There was the internet bypassing the traditional media and allowing unorthodox opinions to be heard and to grow. Within the traditional media there were some publications and commentators who played an honourable role. But coming before all of that, and preparing the way, was the groundwork carried out year after year by nationalist footsloggers letting people know that there was another and better way for our countries, that we did not have to be ground out of existence by internationalism and cosmopolitanism.
Those nationalist efforts were no more than little rivulets, but they have now come together in a river which threatens to carry all before it.

When all is said and done, as human beings, we live primarily by our ideas. Ideas which by their very nature, flow as tributaries from small beginnings into mighty currents.
The point Frederick Dixon makes is entirely apposite in that no well intentioned activity, based on the ideal of truth, however futile it may seem at the time, is ever lost or wasted because, in whatever guise, it will grow into an unstoppable force.
As Victor Hugo said,
“No force on earth can stop an idea whose time has come”

Lovely article.
Eternally grateful to those “footsloggers” who never gave up despite the persecution. I hope their hard work brings them rewards, and it must not be allowed to be claimed by those who see the tides turning and hope to redeem themselves with the people of this land.
They had plenty of time to change course.
