There are quite a few facts and figures in this article, and figures in particular are not everyone’s thing. But they’re important because they paint a picture of how our country is changing to the disadvantage of our people, so bear with me.
You may have seen reports recently to the effect that ethnic minority workers under 30 now earn on average 5.5% more than White British workers in the same age group. Among workers generally the wage gap has shrunk by three quarters from an 8.4% advantage for White British workers in 2014 to a gap of 2.3% just five years later. We can be in no doubt that minority wages generally will soon overtake those of our people.
We can have no complaint that minority employees are paid as well as their White British colleagues, but we should be very concerned when it becomes apparent that the latter are going to be at a growing disadvantage in their own country. So what is going on? The wage disadvantage long suffered by ethnic minorities was due to their immigrant origins and willingness to take the low status, poorly paid work which White British workers were allegedly unwilling to do, (although in parts of the country where ethnic minorities are few, those sorts of jobs do not remain undone). Their descendants are catching up, and overtaking the White British. They are increasingly likely to be found in high-status, highly paid, professional and middle class jobs; 20 years ago only 11% of Black Caribbean men were employed in professional and managerial occupations, now it’s 37%.
We don’t have to look very far for the reason for the rise of the minorities. They are favoured by the establishment, and by that I mean all the instruments of government, both central and local, all the instruments of state from the armed forces to the BBC, and big commerce. Anti-racism and white privilege are core to high-status elite thinking and one cannot be part of today’s establishment if you do not embrace them.
I am not going to try to recount here all the advantages conferred upon minorities by the establishment because they are all pervasive. But here are just three examples. The Equality Act 2010 requires employers to appoint the minority candidate when considering two equally qualified candidates for a position, so the true Brit loses out. This obvious wrong replaced the time-honoured practice of tossing a coin, which I once remember doing myself.
The second example is a particularly interesting one because it shows how a certain kind of “high liberal” thinking has come to seem just plain common sense in the right circles. When Jeremy Hunt, that well-known “Conservative”, became Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary he was an enthusiastic promoter of young minority “mentors” to correct the thinking of older white civil servants. Hunt clearly thought “well, why not? Why would anyone object?” (And of course no-one did object because it’s just common sense to help straighten out stodgy old whitey, isn’t it?)
The third example is in schooling. Schools get more money for minority pupils than for White British pupils – I have seen the amount per minority pupil can be as high as £9,000 per annum, but for a white British pupil it can be as low as £3,000 per annum. No surprise then that schools with large minority student bodies attract the best teachers and have the best equipment, and that their pupils get the best GCSE results. This feeds through into university where 26.2% of UK based undergraduates are BAME, although “only” 18.3% of the population of England and Wales in the 18 to 26 age bracket are non-white. And yet the Office for Students, a department of the education ministry, has bleated for years about the under-representation of minorities. So a higher proportion of young blacks and Asians are graduates than young whites, and they are now landing the highly paid jobs, and that is why our people are beginning to fall behind in the wages table.
Add to the above, the promotion of positive role models for young BAMEs and their gross over-representation on the television screen. According to figures recently released by the “Creative Diversity Network”, 22.7% of all on-screen appearances feature BAME actors and presenters, compared with a BAME population in the United Kingdom of 12.8% (in children’s programmes the non-white component is 45% with mixed race types wildly over-represented at 14%). Yet still the Creative Diversity Network moans that not enough has been done to improve minority representation. Meanwhile, where are the white positive role models for young whites? The role models of my youth, Drake and Nelson, Baden Powell and Churchill have all been “cancelled”. And I can’t remember when I last saw that film “Zulu”.
So ethnic minorities are overtaking the white British in wealth, status and educational attainment. In that rise we see the emergence of a new middle class – our new masters – whose interests and opinions will steadily reshape our politics and our culture, and are indeed already doing so. The Conservative party, which always thinks in terms of class rather than country, has rushed to embrace our new middle class, with all their money and all their votes. If you needed proof, look at the present Conservative cabinet and the pride the Tories take in having the most diverse cabinet ever.
One member of the ultra-diverse Tory cabinet, the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak (said to be the richest man in England), is hotly tipped to be the next PM- the Conservatives, having had the first Jewish Prime Minister, and the first woman Prime Minister, are desperate to have the first ethnic minority Prime Minister. Yet Sunak’s view of the nature of our country is profoundly untraditional – “black, Asian and other minority ethnic communities have made a profound contribution to the shared history of the United Kingdom” he proclaimed (without presenting any evidence) as he launched a new 50 pence coin emblazoned on the reverse with the breath-taking lie “Diversity Made Britain”. We know it’s a lie, but it’s not aimed at us, it’s a slogan which will slowly sink into the consciousness of those who have only ever known a multi-racial and multi-cultural Britain.
But, as so often, there’s a silver lining – of sorts. Professor Matthew Goodwin of the University of Kent recently had this to say about the underachievement of white youngsters: “Ideas such as ‘white privilege’ ….suggest the children are to blame.” He warned the pupils face a “status deficit”. “My fear now is with the onset of new terms – toxic masculinity, white privilege – this is actually going to become more of a problem as we send yet another signal to these communities that they are the problem……and they should make amends for simply being who they are. That would be a very dangerous turn of events”.
Indeed it would be a dangerous turn of events. The authorities have been expressing concern for two or three years about the rising level of “racist” activity and expression among young whites. If you add a growing class dimension to the existing race dimension the consequences could be explosive. We must hope that we ethnic nationalists have the wherewithal to channel the energies of betrayed white youth into constructive social and political channels.

ReplyThe non-white proportion of our population is increasing as is their respective wealth. Many of the emerging middle classes among the non-white population own pharmacies, dental practices, law and accountancy firms as well as occupying senior positions in the public sector.
The non-white population have benefited from numerous legislation in its favour together with a disparaging of the ethnic Britons as intolerant, xenophobic and inevitably “racist” The distorted manner that history is taught together with encouraging a sense of guilt has seriously undermined the esteem and confidence of the native Britons. Many white Britons have an instinctive sense of fairness and have been prepared to tolerate some level of positive discrimination but are now realising that such intervention is inimical to their own interests.
The non-white population is becoming increasingly assertive and arrogant as they now have the temerity to define British values and identity.Despicable persons such as David Lammy and Yasmin ali Brown have incessantly complained of the inherent racism found in the native Britons.
It can reasonably be argued that mass non European immigration has been entirely negative as a whole and that “diversity” has been our ruination rather than a benefit. Even if we could give some examples of how diversity has
benefited us, the British Isles has a recorded history of 1500 years without a “coloured” presence.Without diversity we were the first country to industrialise and to run an empire where the sun never set.Of course the teaching of
history is now so distorted that it is claimed that Britain has always had a non- white population on its shores. Period dramas, particularly from the British Bolshevik Corporation will often show non- white people in historical periods such as in Victorian England.
Contrary to the disapproval of the Clown Prince now ensconced in the US Britain was built by white people for white people and is the consequence of an advanced European civilisation that owes little to non European influences.

ReplyPerfectly true Alec. I’ve been racking my brain for evidence of this “diversity”. We hear a great deal about odd individuals who played an honorable part in our recent history- Mary Seacole, Nur Inayat Khan, Walter Tull – but we hear a great deal about them precisely because they were so rare.
So what else counts as “diversity”? Do white people, such as Irish navies (who really did “build Britain “) count as “diverse”? Surely not, because not only were they white but they were also British at that time. Jews? Maybe, but again probably not because they too are (arguably) white, and were few before the 1880s.
Wealth flowing from India and the West Indies certainly played a part in providing investment for the industrial revolution, and of course it was produced by the labour of coloured people. But it wouldn’t have existed had it not been for the daring and inventiveness of those of our folk who first took us into those dangerous places and fought to keep us there. But that is not what is meant by “diversity” here at home.
So where is the evidence for this “diversity”? Beats me.

ReplyIn America, many of the nonwhites, especially the Latinos and Blacks, do not do very well academically and are in low-paying positions. On the other hand, many nonwhites are able to obtain high-paying positions because of federal policies and practices called Affirmative Action that discriminate against White people. Whites in America are falling behind on every measure, but the media, academia, and government agencies think that this is fair and show this as a positive result of diversity.
I also find it odd that nonwhites have to immigrate to White countries in order to build businesses, have careers, and make a decent income. Why is this? If they can allegedly “enrich” our countries with their presence, why can’t they stay in their own and “enrich” their countries?

ReplyIs there ever any good news? Whenever I read this website I lose all hope of saving this nation so I don’t visit very often now. You need to learn to be a lot more like Dr. Steve Turley on youtube, a conservative American that is always upbeat and positive and that is infectious. Yes he exaggerates sometimes but it has helped him build a large following in a short space of time. It seems to me western spring is dead in the water now.

ReplyAn enforced jollity will prove worthless. The writers and contributors of Western Spring succeed in addressing the existential threat we are confronted but not without humour or a sense of irony as appropriate.
Perhaps the re-election of Mr Trump as president of the USA may provide some grounds for optimism, although he could not be considered a traditionnal nationalist.

ReplyI disagree. Negativity drives people away as it just makes people miserable or adds to existing misery. No one wants that day after day. A positive attitude brings people in. It doesn’t mean our situation is any less precarious but an upbeat optimistic positive approach and attitude will do more good than the negativity all of the time.

ReplyAnd where is this negativity which you so freely write of?I would rather partake of informative discussions than depend upon a contrived jollity.Western Spring contributes to our understanding of the perverse world we live but not without humour and wit. It further advocates practical measures to establish vibrant nationalist communities, hardly a council of despair.Take a deep breath and join the adventure.

ReplyI must admit that I have some sympathy for your point of view, Mike, because the subject IS a gloomy one. But sticking our collective head in the sand ( and believe me I know the temptation!) will achieve nothing. “The truth will set you free” they say, and our people need to know the truth. Anyway, not all the pieces on Western Spring are bad news – see “Hope Springs Eternal” a few months back.

ReplyI lay myself open to attack here when I say that this will end in tears. The privilege afforded to the BAME population in Britain was hatched many years ago in the unhallowed halls of academia where white pupils were fed the mantra “white bad, black good” until it formed part of their psyche. The results of this continual propaganda are plain to see in South Africa where black people, having been brought up to believe that black is better, and presented with empirical evidence that it is not, cannot accept that they do not perform adequately in the 21st century world and therefore blame white people for this. The terms white privilege, white monopoly capitalism, systemic racism et al are continuously bandied about causing hatred on both sides. This appears to be heading for a civil (or race) war herewith dreadful consequences. and I truly fear that the same fate awaits Great Britain and the United States of America.
