Soweto – Coming to a Town Near You?

Most of us will recall televised news reports from Apartheid era South Africa, of violent incidents in Soweto, the black township on the outskirts of Johannesburg. The reports telling more often than not, of some black-on-black violence, and showing crowds of emotionally charged black people, mostly women, dancing, clapping their hands and singing in expression of their grief over what has happened and presumably, in sorrow at their parlous situation.

Heavily armed police officers would be seen patrolling Soweto in groups, with German shepherd dogs and the inference directed at the British public viewing these news reports was always suggestive that the plight of the people depicted was in some way linked to and the responsibility of the ‘oppressive’ Apartheid regime.

There was never any suggestion from within our controlled mass media that what we witnessed in these news reports might be the natural condition of the African people.

There was never any suggestion that the violent gang culture that had become politicised and associated with opposition to White minority rule in South Africa, might be endemic within all black majority societies and likely to crystalise around any one of many alternate social factors irrespective of the benevolence or otherwise of prevailing government policy.

To the liberal media, it has always been somewhat incongruous and rather embarrassing therefore, that following the fall of the Apartheid regime and its replacement by black majority rule under the ANC, televised news reports from Soweto have largely continued to feature black-on-black crime between rival gangs and the same crowds of singing, clapping and dancing, emotionally distraught black people, expressing their grief and sorrow.

Some of us will recall a poster produced by the National Front during the 1970s bearing a photograph of an inner city market place teaming with black people and bearing a slogan to the effect: “Brixton 1975 – Your Town 198?”, with the inference being that if immigration continued at what was with hindsight a very modest rate, then sooner or later most towns in Britain would come to resemble Brixton of the 1970s.

I can remember discussing that poster with people at that time and them responding dismissively, ‘that it will never come to that’, and suggesting that the National Front were being unnecessarily alarmist.

I lived in Luton in those days and during my early childhood, Luton had been an almost entirely White town, inhabited by native Lutonians, families who had moved away from London during the Blitz, and a large number of Irish construction workers and their families who had been recruited to work on the construction of the M1 motorway. We were all quite poor; rationing had only recently ended; most of us lived in council houses; it was commonplace for children to wear hand-me-down clothes from their older siblings; and many mothers found it necessary to re-cook left-overs from one meal for the next in order to make ends meet.

We were however almost all honest, hard working and law abiding people and crime, particularly serious violent crime, was almost unheard of. The three groups that had come together to form the population of Luton at that time were as I have already stated, with literally a handful of exceptions, almost all White people and we quickly melted together to form one community.

I can recall as a child having a conversation with my friends about how it was illegal to drop litter in the streets and how if a policeman saw you do that, you would be arrested and be taken to court.

No one bothered locking their doors during the day and no-one ever got robbed. Even during my teenage years, I can remember people leaving their cars parked unlocked in the streets and the motorcycles I had as a teenager were not even fitted with an ignition lock. I used to park my motorbikes in the town centre all day while I was at college and I never had one stolen.

Several decades of mass Third World immigration later and the population of Luton is now c. 55% non-White and crime is rife.

Not only have parts of the town come to resemble Brixton, they have surpassed the level of social dysfunction that afflicted Brixton during the 1970s and come to resemble Apartheid era Soweto, complete with; black-on-black gang violence; periodic rioting; fatal stabbings; fatal shootings; and now heavily armed police officers patrolling the streets with German shepherd dogs.

Funnily enough, we now see groups of civically minded black people gathering to dance and clap their hand and sing about their sorrow.

Yes, Soweto really could be coming to a town near you!

  1. Which backs up my perception that if I live in a white community it will be less violent with less crime than a multiracial one. That’s what I want to do but everywhere diversity; multiculturalism is forced upon us, we have no choice in that.
I lived in Hackney during the 1980’s and it felt like the apocalypse at times. I saw Leytonstone becoming more Moslem spawning extremism.
I remember Ilford when it was all white and now it’s awful, with murders and gang related crimes.
Maybe we should all move to Soweto, we’d probably improve it.

    - Edit

Simply moving people from one location to another will not affect their intrinsic behaviours or attitudes, as can be seen from the clapping and singing and more worryingly from the crime.

The often made arguement that poverty is to blame for the levels of crime was shown to be a false one and was covered in your article.

That people point to good example immigrants and bad example whites as proof that race has no part to play in culture born behaviour is also a non sequitur.

By and large, different racial groups living in one area will flock together and we speak of asian areas or in this articles case black areas.
In this way, cultures and traditions of the immigrant groups are preserved.
Different races have different cultural responses to not only their own internal problems and situations but also ones different to those of other races and cultures.
An obvious example if this was shown in the video.
The police commisioner I believe made an involuntary reference to this by the use of a habitual language pattern. During his speach, he mentioned the phrase “that you have shown through your quiet determination today”.
Though it was anything but quiet. My point is that “quiet determination” is I would say, a very european, if not explicitly British quality, the Black Africans are not known for their quiet determination. In other words, the police commissioner forgot to adjust his language patterns to align with the group with which he was addressing and thereby rather unwittingly admitted a different behavioural response to a particular situation.
Whilst ever race is not acknowledged as a factor when discussing behaviour our people will be led down the multicultural garden path to a balkanised Britain.
Following the riots a few years ago, Darcus Howe was interviewed and his analysis boiled down to two things which were, police intimidation of young black men and the lack of youth clubs. Though what Mr Howe did not mention was the fact that the police fired upon an armed, known criminal in a life threatening situation, which according to news reports at the time were the spark to the flame for the riots. Riots that then spread accross the country.
As our young people are forced to share their Country and their childhoods with peoples from other races and cultures it is inevitable that, with the promotion of equality and multiculturalism their behaviours may modify. To an extent we see this in popular culture where white youths are copying the speach styles and mannerisms, dress codes and attitudes to their own heritage as that of the mainly, black youths. Namely that to disrepect whitey is cool and street innit.
I would like to see a drive towards engaging our youth in organised youth movements that taught them about their past, our ancestors and taught them life skills, something like the Scout movement and various military based Cadet groups, with the aim of re connecting our race with our pride through our well behaved young people.

    1. I think that the whole point of moving non whites here was because it was known that they would behave differently, not only to physically race replace the whites in an area but to permanently alter the prevailing culture as well.
At the same time multiculturalism was pushed to create non white areas and the concept that all cultures are equal, and any criticism of this was denounced as RACISM!
We are told ‘Whitey’ has to integrate and accommodate everything in our country without complaint, we have gone from equality to reverse racism.
I most multiracial countries they have one ethnic group dominating the others and the same situation is developing here with whites being the put upon, providing the bulk of things but getting the least benefit from it.

    1. But what exactly are these Asians?
If they get booted out like the Kenyan or Ugandan Asians, will they be invited & accepted here?

  3. My experience of Ilford, Leytonstone & what goes on in Essex seems to show it’s not Soweto that’s coming but Islamabad.
I see 16 “Asians” playing football on my local playing fields, they’re all men of a similar age, they appear to be the staff of several local curry houses, they don’t mix with whites but stick together.
No doubt in time their wives will come over & then at least 30 or 40 children will enter the local schools & before you know it they will be a substantial presence.

    1. Yet another unneeded takeaway has opened, this time “Thai” with authentic looking staff, more non whites in a white area.
It would be fascinating to do a forensic financial examination of these places, I bet few of them can justify their existence on the pure business reasons of actually selling food.
I can’t believe that my area can support 3 eat in curry restaurants & at least 4 Asian takeaways of one sort or another.
I regularly check in the windows of them & rarely are they busy, they have tinted windows for a reason!

  4. The latest horror has a double whammy as it involves African moslems & both cultures have a history of this sort of savagery.
The politicians must be well aware of what would happen when importing people like this & that was probably the point of it.
In America, there are regular reports of gangs of blacks attacking whites, in South Africa white farmers are gruesomely killed, moslems also do a lot of this though Buddhists have been returning the favour of late.
