Legion MAC Events – A Rebuttal

ITV Evening News last night featured a report incorporating video footage filmed secretly during the most recent Legion MAC Winter Camp. The aim of the ITV report was to level the disingenuous allegation that National Action has not complied with the terms of that organisation’s Home Office proscription last year. Furthermore, the report implied that other nationalist organisations, including Legion MAC, are in effect National Action operating under another name. I cannot speak for National Action, but as far as I am aware, they have formally disbanded in accordance with the Home Office proscription order, but I can state categorically that the second allegation made by ITV is patently untrue and appears have been made for mischievous purposes.

Firstly the former leader and founder of National Action, Ben Raymond, announced the formal disbanding of National Action prior to the proscription of that organisation in December last year. Since then, neither Ben Raymond nor any of the former organisers of National Action have as far as I am aware taken any active role in politics, nationalist or otherwise.

The fact that two people who previously attended National Action demonstrations also attended the recent Legion MAC event, does not signify that Legion MAC is a National Action front organisation. Legion MAC is a lifestyle club that holds events intended to equip young people with life skills, including the ability to defend themselves, and to engender within them amongst other things, a love of fitness and outdoor pursuits. All of this is perfectly legal. No officers or members of National Action have ever been involved in the organisation of Legion MAC events and the police were made fully aware of the nature of our activities some considerable time ago. The police don’t like the fact that Legion MAC holds the events we do, but they conceded that there is nothing illegal in what we are doing.

Legion MAC is an autonomous organisation and apart from myself, the two other organisers involved are not members of Western Spring and have no other formal political party membership; furthermore, they are not and never have been members of National Action. In fact they have been highly critical of the tactics and activities of National Action.

I have played a part in the organisation of Legion MAC events, and I would like to make it clear that while I am a senior member Western Spring, I am not and never have been a member of National Action. I have had meetings with various members and officers of National Action over recent years, but I have had similar meetings with the leaders and officers of just about every other nationalist political party in this country as well. There never was a special sweet-heart relationship between Western Spring and National Action, any belief to the contrary is a figment of our enemy’s imagination. In fact several leading members of National Action intensely disliked Western Spring and were scornful if not entirely hostile towards any interaction between our two respective organisations.

Western Spring advocates community activism as the way forward for British nationalism, whereas National Action always advocated confrontational street politics. Our tactics have always been diametrically opposed.

Western Spring has always argued against confrontational street politics, just as we have argued against electioneering in the current political environment. Our policy of militant community activism is the new ‘Third Way’ for nationalism and we seek to convert others to our way of thinking.

Self-defence has always formed a significant part of our weekend events for obvious reasons. Our political enemies employ an army of terrorist thugs under the banner of ‘Antifa’ to attack nationalist activists and to attack our events, and it has become essential that our members are competent when defending themselves against violent attacks, especially knife attacks. All of our training is however self-defence orientated and is not orientated towards attacking others, and nor is it oriented towards any form of terrorism.

The ITV exposé of our last event was disingenuous for a number of reasons:

Firstly: The journalist knew all along that Legion MAC were the organisers of the event and in my speech to the group attending, I made it clear that the event was nothing whatsoever to do with National Action. Furthermore, the journalist booked his place at our event via the Legion MAC website.

Secondly: There was no promotion of National Action at our event, and there has been no promotion of National Action at any of our events.

Third: It appears the undercover journalist needed to take a small number of attendees aside in order to steer the conversation around to discussion of National Action’s ban and the murder of Jo Cox. Had he not done this, these two topics would probably have never been discussed during the event. Such behaviour is therefore tantamount to entrapment.

Fourth: It would have been easy for ITV to have contacted me several days prior to the broadcast of their exposé, and had they given me the opportunity to counter the allegations they planned to make any genuine misunderstanding could have been avoided. However, ITV did not want to broadcast the truth, or at least a balanced account of our event. They sent emails just hours before the broadcast thereby eliminating any possibility of providing a preview of their programme and minimising the possibility of a considered rebuttal being transmitted to them. This is an immoral way for a journalistic organisation to behave, of a kind that brings shame upon ITV and sets them out as an organisation of gutter journalism.

Worse, they seek to agitate the authorities and the police in particular, in such a way as to waste police time, and this at a time when this country faces an unprecedented threat from Islamic terrorism and the security forces are struggling to cope with that real terrorist threat. Furthermore, they have alarmed the husband of murdered MP Jo Cox quite unnecessarily, and in asking him to respond to their lurid speculations, have in all probability caused him a significant amount of needless additional distress.

Let me reiterate, that nothing illegal takes place at Legion MAC events and some considerable time ago I took the opportunity to explain what we were doing when I was interviewed by the police. Furthermore, if a police officer wishes to attend one of our events as a participant, I will be only too pleased to accommodate this. These are not sinister, ‘secret events’, at which illegal activities are planned or indulged in, we are proud of what we are doing and the only secrecy involved is out of necessity to prevent Antifa thugs from turning up and causing trouble and to limit the scope for irresponsible, sensationalist journalism such as is the stock-in-trade of ITV it would seem.

The undercover journalist involved in last night’s exposé had spent some five years building up a false back-story on Facebook and during the event which lasted for two days, the worst things he uncovered were a couple impolite statements made in poor taste by a couple of young men at an unguarded moment during what they believed to be a private conversation. A private conversation that the undercover journalist helped to steer into controversial territory.

This is hardly Nobel Prize winning journalism and the undercover journalist’s employers, ITV and the ironically named race hate group, ‘Hope-Not-Hate’, must be left feeling pretty sick having reaped such a meagre harvest from so much hard work.

  1. In the real world….Since 2011, the London Forum, as have the newly formed SW Forum, Yorkshire and Welsh Forum, seen in the audiences, members of many separate nationalist factions. As many as eight different Organisations all in the same rooms. It’s impossible to say, because two members of National Action were among the audience, it was a NA meeting. Likewise, you could say, that because there were four members of the BNP in the audiences, then it is the BNP meeting.
The problem with banning NA, was that, in reality, they could not track every single one of the members. Once disbanded, it was unlikely that they would simply regroup under a different name. It was for sure, however, that every one of them, would still be involved in nationalism and attend meetings. If two of them happen to be in the same room, or attend the same conference, it doesn’t make it, a NA meeting. It is simply, two friends from a former Organisation, meeting as friends. This is where, this has got ridiculous. The camps and London Forum have been going far longer than NA, so to now say, that anywhere, NA members happen to attend, has to be a secret, covert front for a NA meeting, is ludicrous.
Many members of the Forums do not agree with the comments made by NA about Jo Cox. I have heavily critisized the manner in which the Left used her death as a pawn against Brexit. I remember when the name of her killer was announced. Social media was awash with ‘ who the hell is Thomas Mair ?’ No one had ever heard of him, even those nationalist leaders with decades of nationalism behind them. Jo Cox’s murder was tragic, but so was Airey Neave’s, Sir Anthony Berry and Ian Gow’s, murdered by the IRA, only today, to see Jeremy Corbyn, today telling the country on Twitter, what a great family man Martin McGuinness was. That offends me, just as much as comments about Jo Cox offended those who knew her.
Yet, to attempt to implicate every single person who knows and communicates with NA members, is clearly a designed tactic to demonise nationalism and it’s people.
Unlike mainstream parties, nationalism has approx 14 different factions. One end of the spectrum is poles apart from the other. One end, you have, right wing civic nationalism who stand candidates from ethic minorities and welcome some immigration, to the other end, the neo-nazi white supremacists. The nationalist activist base is a small world, and so it is natural, that at some point, members from these opposing ideologies, are going to be sharing a room at the same conference or meeting. It does not mean, that because one or even three NA former members attend, every single person at that conference, supports them. That is a ridiculous claim to even suggest.
Once NA was proscribed, it would have been inane to imagine that friends within the group would never see each other again, or meet. Yet, to attempt to implicate every single nationalist who happened to attend the same event, is desperation. What next ? If two members of NA meet at a pub for a family get together, will their Mum’s be targeted? That’s how inane this attitude is.

    1. Hello Julie. I am the James who was featured in the horribly biased and misrepresentative ITV fake news story. Just to make it clear, I have never once identified with or been a ‘member’ of ‘National Action’. Although I never liked the methods of this group, with silly face masks, edgelord nonsense and all, it was ridiculous to outlaw it as a ’terrorist’ organisation. When one individual made a crass remark about Joe Cox, he was immediately rebuked by others that were present. However, the dishonest media edits this out. As you point out, the way these lunatics are playing the game, everybody who ever associated with any member of this group is automatically being labelled as ‘NA’. So if a person once attended a meeting where ‘NA’ members were present, they are labelled ‘NA’, whether they like it or not, and anybody else who ever associates with any of these supposed ‘NA’ people would also be ‘NA’. So basically everyone becomes ‘NA’. Completely retarded.

      1. Hello James,
I’ve just watched this video that describes in great detail all the nefarious activities that we get up to at the Lmac camps. 😂
Onions are no joking matter mate and can be used to deadly effect, much more effective than a punch in the face. Sorry again about that.
I bare no grudge mate even though you once described me as ‘unfit’ and then ‘old’. 😅

        1. Hello Richard. I don’t recall calling you unfit and old. You are surely confusing me with someone else. Yeah, I might need a new nose after that one. 😉 Hope you’re doing well Richard. 🙂

Was wondering if there is legion mac in my area in northeast. Would be really interested in joining. Thanks

  2. Is there a possibility that this demented journalist in some way encouraged Thomas Mair to murder Joe Cox?
Five years of retarded infiltrating and blogging is mind boggling. To go to such lengths these pathetic mixed-up television left-wing hypocrites are desperate people and in my opinion quite capable of such a dastardly act. I trust that the police and other intelligence services will investigate the matter. At the very least, to put my mind at rest or better still arrest and charge them if they are found to be implicated or complicit with her or anyone else’s death, whosoever it might be, in any way.
No wonder so many folk are parting company with their television sets and refusing to pay for a licence!

  3. This Legion MAC event was a great opportunity for British people to attend, especially young people.
Friday evening was spent winding down from our various journey’s to the location and socializing with other attendees, some known to one another and some new faces aswell, whilst settling in for an activity packed weekend.
Saturday’s schedule included self defence classes with the aim of improving general fitness, confidence building and acquiring the skills neccessary to protect oneself from violence.
Saturday evening was spent having a meal at a local pub and a couple of drinks.
    Sunday. Hiking.

As this event was openly promoted and publicized on a website that anybody could access and anybody reading could apply to attend, as the undercover reporter himself did, it can hardly be called a secret camp.

Everyone who attended the camp was well behaved, respectfull towards the local population and enjoyed a weekend of physical activity.

My surprise then, upon hearing about the ITV ‘shock exposé’ quickly turned to bemused laughter followed by the all too familiar feeling of frustration.
Frustration due to being denied any kind of platform by the same media who knowingly distort the facts and engage in the worst kind of jigsaw journalism
The ITV hatchet job, which attempted to directly mislead the viewer about Legion MAC and Western Spring even featured people who have never attended a Legion MAC event.

The tenuous link crudely forged by the eye contact avoiding under cover journalist on behalf of [not so] Independent Television was by all accounts some comments made about the late Joe Cox by an attendee at the camp, a former member of National Action.
Similar if not more vigourous comments are made under every article about Joe Cox in the press. This is not a sugestion that I agree with the sentiments of those comments. However I do understand what motivates those opinions to surface, as do all those who create the conditions necessary for ordinary Britons to begin to feel agitated by the effects of those conditions.

If Thomas Mair, befor he tragically killed Joe Cox, had happened upon the Western Spring/ LegionMAC website and had appilied to attend a Lmac camp, then he would not have felt so isolated, he would have had an arena to express his thoughts and more importantly he would have had his thoughts challanged and his energies channelled into more positive endeavours and perhaps Joe Cox would still be alive today to see her children grow up.

The demonizing of Nationalsits, of creating far right bogeymen monsters is old hat now, people see through it, more and more so and yet this desire to demonize, to hoodwink is what drives our political enemies in this attempt to stop the ever growing numbers of European people from removing the cultural marxist scales from their eyes and seeing just what a quagmire they are creating.

“The undercover journalist involved in last night’s exposé had spent some five years building up a false back-story on Facebook.”

Living a life of lies for five years: does this not sum up the types opposed to us. As John Tyndall used to say: the ruling regime is a house built on lies.

Well done, Max, for your robust rebuttal.

  5. If the anti-terrorist squad had been allowed to spend more time tracking down real terrorists, instead of chasing Patriots who were no threat to anyone, would yesterdays attack have happened ?

  6. The authorities are anxious to justify the claim that nationalists and patriots offer the same threat as Islamist terrorists, and after this most contrived expose senior politicians were imploring the government to take more strenuous action to counter so-called “far right ” extremism and hatred. This nonsense would be accepted at face value by those who are only exposed to conventional news sources, and this would include even conventionally well educated people. It is unfortunate that the more intemperate comments and initiatives by National Action can easily be distorted and allows the authorities to confirm a negative and misleading view of nationalists and patriots. Our responsibility is to show that nationalism, patriotism and racial awareness is not only rational but consistent with traditional values which has served society for thousands of years.
