JTMM – a Tour de Force from Mark Collett!

The fifth guest speaker at this year’s John Tyndall Memorial Meeting was a young man who needs little introduction, a young man made famous through his high profile role within the British National Party a decade ago, Mark Collett.

On this occasion, Mark delivered what was probably the best speech of his life, drawing a parallel between the qualities of excellence and determination that he saw in John Tyndall and the quality of excellence that our people once achieved, and the determination we need to exhibit if we are to regain that excellence and forge a future that honours the legacy of our forebears.

Most notably, this speech was a masterful exhibition of emotive oratory evoking within the audience successive waves of intensely gut wrenching frustration in the face of unpleasant truths, with moments of respite and at times euphoric relief as Mark outlined the key factors needed for our eventual salvation.

  1. I feel I must confess that I wasn’t a big fan of Mark back in the early days, for various reasons which are well and truly water under the bridge now. However, over the last few years, when Mark seems to have made a bit of a ‘come back’ onto the scene, I have repeatedly been impressed by his attitude, approach and insight.

I believe that he brings a valuable concept back to the cause of nationalism – that of striving for self improvement in peoples own lives, to not always focus outwards at what others are doing to us; but to see what we are often doing to ourselves – and that by striving to be examples of greatness, of fitness, to be people of authority, to be respected people, for us to be people worthy of being saved, we in turn will come to build an antibody to fight off the disease that riddles modern British people on the whole.

We may not be able to individually fight the entire system and win. We may not be able to change the entire schooling system, or what is on TV, or mass immigration – but we can do what is possible in our own lives. We can try to instil our values into a new generation. We can turn off that TV. We can get fit and more physically active, etc instead.

I get the impression from Mark that he has some kind of prescription for building ourselves back up, from the ground up, as a people, as a civilisational force, to become masters of our own destiny once again by removing the rot from our own lives and surroundings – so that we become stronger and not so easily clubbed down to the floor by powerful and seemingly insuperable, overbearing, insurmountable interests from above.

I have not read Mark’s book yet – but I shall endeavour to do so. I have not seen any of the other speeches, but I think this was a good one which is not only reflective on the dire aspects of current times but also remaining positive and pushing forward. Thanks Mark!
