A tactic which Hitler ironically wanted against—the “Big Lie” technique—(although it is now falsely claimed, he propagated) perpetuated by the far left has once again been shown in force with the recent bombing of an office of the Golden Dawn movement in Athens.
At 4 a.m. on the morning of 4 December, a bomb exploded outside the Aspropyrgos office of Golden Dawn, causing extensive damage but no injuries. This is the latest in a spate of bomb attacks against Greece’s nationalist party offices.
The bomb, consisting of packed dynamite, was placed outside the entrance to the building and caused extensive damage to adjacent shops and houses.
Golden Dawn referred to the incident as a terrorist attack and posted photographs of the damage to their website. The party noted the attack resembled the bomb attack against their offices at 48 Socrates Street, the party headquarters, on March 19th, 2010.
On that occasion an anonymous call was made to the Eleftherotypia newspaper, warning that a bomb would explode within 25 minutes.
This is, of course, par for the course. Unable to defeat nationalists in open debate—because the facts are on their side—the left and its establishment toadies always resort to violence, and when that fails, banning and the abolition of democracy.
It is ironic that this is what they then always accuse the nationalists of wanting to do: the “Big Lie” technique in operation once again.
Golden Dawn does not only have to contend with increasing violence against its members (support has risen and it is now the third largest party in Greece, new figures claim), but the leader of the Socialist Party PASOK has now declared his intention to simply ban the nationalists completely.
Imagine what the media reaction would be if Golden Dawn announced its intention to ban PASOK? Yet the hypocrisy, double standards and the Big Lie rolls on.
