The exhumation of a Stalinist-era mass grave in the heart of the Polish capital Warsaw believed to contain the remains of around 200 victims of a post-war campaign of communist terror resumed this week following a winter break.
“During the first phase of work last summer we managed to exhume the remains of more than 100 victims,” Krzysztof Szwagrzk, an official with Poland’s Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), who is overseeing the project, told Agence France Presse at the site.
Last year the IPN exhumed the remains of 117 suspected victims of a 1948–56 Stalinist-era reign of terror against Polish anti-Soviet activists from the mass grave at Warsaw’s Powazki military cemetery for DNA testing.
The project, which began in June 2012, aims to find the remains of General Emil Fieldorf, the head of Poland’s anti-Nazi resistance army, and Witold Pilecki, a Polish partisan who claimed to have infiltrated the Auschwitz concentration camp during the war.
After the war, both resistance fighters were accused of high treason and sentenced to death by Poland’s communist authorities loyal to Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin.
Their place of burial has remained a mystery until now. Surviving family members have long hoped that DNA testing could establish the identity of remains found in Stalinist-era mass graves.
All the exhumed remains will be tested and their DNA compared against a database of 300 samples provided by several families.
“Tens of thousands of Polish families are still trying to find out where their loved ones were buried. We believe that some 50,000 people fell victim to the Stalinist-era reign of terror in Poland during the 1940s–50s,” Szwagrzyk told AFP.
The exhumation work at the Powazki site is part of a nationwide research project launched in 2011 and focused on identifying the victims of Stalinist crimes.
“Over all these years, I got used to the idea that Dad didn’t have a grave,” Pilecki’s son Andrzej told AFP at the Powazki site.
“I thought we’ll never find him (…) but today, my heart’s beating faster. I would like to know where I can light a candle and lay flowers for him,” says Andrzej, who last saw his father as a young child in 1947.

It is an embarrassment that Winston Churchill PM happily sat beside Stalin knowing that these things were going on.
Churchill also sent orders that the Greek communists should be armed giving them an unhealthy boost and helping hand. Documented records kept by The General Sikorsky Historical Institute are quite an eye opener.

That Georgian thug was no statesman or grear military tactician either.
Churchill knew of his “mistake” in choosing Stalin for an ally, following the war he is reported to have commented “i think we slaughtered the wrong pig”.
Hitler was no pig. He was a statesman and great tactician also. We may have been living in an entirely different world today had his Generals followed Hitlers orders regarding Stalingrad whilst Hitler was sick with dysentry.
The crimes of the Red Army are many and like these bodies in Warsaw lay burried and hidden. Often they have been blamed on the Germans as with Katyn Forrest, perhaps the most well known of the miss attributated massacres yet still fairly unheard of except to those with an interest in this field.

As a racial nationalist it’s not easy for me to say this, but I think we were right to fight Hitler and were right to ally ourselves with Stalin in order to do so (how otherwise could we have won?).
There was much about the pre-war National Socialist government which we can admire, and even seek to emulate (see the chapter on the “Racial State” in Arthur Kemp’s “March of the Titans”). However, it was what Hitler intended to do with his victory which made it so necessary that he should be stopped. He intended that scores of millions of perfectly good, white Christian Europeans – Poles, Czechs, Slovenes, Russians, Ukrainians, Belarussians, Lithuanians, Latvians and Estonians – were to exterminated, enslaved, deported or, if they were lucky enough to be racially acceptable, Germanised and absorbed ( thus losing their countries and nationalities). Even other Germanics – the Scandinavians, Dutch, Flemings and Swiss – were to be absorbed into the “Greater Germanic Reich” thus losing their independence and in due course their distinct national identities. I think that that was worth fighting to stop.
Of course, that was Hitler at his most extravagant and even if he had won the war quickly, sheer practicality might have rendered much of that programme unrealistic -but there would have been a great deal of suffering in the meantime, as the Poles and others found out in the few years they were under German control. It is also true that as the war began to turn against Germany, much use was made of some of these peoples as auxiliaries, and there were those in the Government and Party who began to speak of a “Europe united against Bolshevism” – but not Hitler, he never renounced his ambitions.
One great error that the western allies made was the demand for unconditional surrender. This made it impossible for Germany to negotiate her way out of a losing war and thus for more sensible counsels to prevail. It is unlikely that Hitler would ever have agreed to meet the allies halfway, but it is easy to imagine that a Nazi government headed by Goering – Hitler’s designated successor – would have been very willing to do so. In that event, enormous suffering, loss of life and physical destruction would have been avoided…..but how would they have persuaded Hitler to stand aside?

Personally I have long come to the conclusion that there has been far more suffering because Churchill sided with Stalin. And the finds in Warsaw confirm my thoughts.

Western Spring is provides a forum for a wide range of nationalist opinions and all genuine nationalists should enjoy the respect of their racial comrades.

Instead of rudely dismissing Mr Dixon’s views as ‘rubbish’, why don’t you present the evidence that illustrates the error of his ways? In that way you might win him over to your point of view, but you certainly won’t do that by simply insulting his opinions.
